Soaring Eagles Christian Academy and Day Care |
|
|

After much prayer and clear direction from God, Soaring Eagles Christian Academy (SECA) was founded by Drs Harry and Linda Ohlson on April 21, 2003. With the help and encouragement of a number of parents who had children needing the type of education the Ohlsons were able to offer, the academy opened its doors to students in the Brunswick facility in the fall of 2003. The licensed pre-school/day care facility was opened one year later.
In August 2010, SECA moved to 107 Landmark Court, half-way between Easley and Pickens. It now provides education and child care year - around to children 3 years old through 12th grade.
It is our desire to train the youth of today in the highest principles of Christian leadership, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity and good citizenship. We teach these principles in a school offering an excellent traditional academic curriculum, as well as providing educational accommodations for students who fall through the cracks or fail in a conventional academic classroom. The pre-school curriculum takes advantage of the strong phonics-based A Beka curriculum. The academy uses the best of the A Beka, Bob Jones and Alpha Omega curriculums in first through twelfth grades, along with other supplemental materials to enhance our education program.
Soaring Eagles Christian Academy and Day Care serves many families in both Greenville and Pickens counties and has watched its graduates go out in the community, after being challenged to follow God’s will for their lives, with confidence and abilities necessary to handle the demands of life. We are members of the American Association of Christian Schools and the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools. SECA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
As we consider the existence of Soaring Eagles Christian Academy, Psalm 118:23 instantly comes to mind: “This is the LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.” |
